This is a "pool" posting for multiple vacancies in the 2024-25 school year. When a vacancy is open to external applicants, this pool allows hiring administrators immediate access to potential candidates. JOB SUMMARY
This position serves as administrative officer of the school, reporting directly to the assigned Regional Assistant Superintendent. Responsibilities include providing leadership for continual interpretation of educational programs to school staff, and the school service area citizen groups; maintaining positive staff relationships with all officers and educators of the Northshore School District; directing staffing and budgetary decisions; maintaining commitment to the district's mission statement and working in concert with the district’s strategic plan.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Participates in the interpretation and execution of district policy and state law.
- Directs, supervises and evaluates the instructional curricular program.
- Interprets educational programs to staff and community.
- Directs and evaluates the work of all assigned personnel.
- Supervises the operation and care of the building, grounds, and other school property.
- Works cooperatively with other administrative officers in executing
programs.
- Keeps accurate school records and reports as required.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the assigned Regional Assistant Superintendent.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Required to attend Board of Directors' meetings, community meetings, professional development meetings, and other meetings beyond normal working hours to represent the District; required to meet inflexible deadlines; required to deal with distraught or angry people.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Master's degree and valid Principal's credential and valid Washington State teaching credential. Demonstrated successful leadership experience as a school administrator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of and experience in working with standards-driven curriculum and an understanding of the state’s reform agenda. Knowledge of and experience in implementing shared-decision making models.
Skill in planning, organizing and delegating. Skill in human relations, oral and written communications, and problem-solving. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective public relations and customer service. Skill in effective decision-making. Skill in supervision. Skill in providing advice and instruction to staff. Skill in problem and conflict resolution. Skill in detecting errors and verifying data.
Ability to provide innovative and responsible leadership. Ability to assist in the accomplishment of the district’s strategic plan goals and objectives. Ability to interpret laws and regulations related to education. Ability to construct, implement, and monitor timelines and meet deadlines on projects and reports.
Salary: $89.25/hour for daily assignments; long-term assignments DOE and paid according to the 2024-25 Northshore School Administrator (NASA) Salary Schedule.

Generally, you are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).
