Job #2425-208: Head Coach - Track & Field - Spring Season

 

Job Summary: Individuals occupying coaching positions are responsible for developing fundamental skills and an understanding of the rules of the sport in participants, modeling and fostering cooperation, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior. Coaches determine the system of play to be used and develop and implement best strategies and methods to carry out the system. They are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for participants, ensuring their eligibility, and monitoring their behavior. Coaches issue and inventory equipment, maintain financial and other related records, and perform other related duties as assigned.

SALARY

Stipend based on current salary schedule 2023-24 AAA Salary Schedule (using 2023-24 schedule until the 2024-25 salary schedule is approved/released). Salary placement determined by Human Resources DOE. 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the sport and experience in coaching, demonstrating effective skills, strategies, and techniques and the ability to take a concept/skill from learning through implementation to mastery; be a role model with the skills to build a cohesive team; be a positive motivator and skilled communicator; work well with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Satisfactory results of background checks with prior employers and/or character references; satisfactory outcome of a criminal history background check (includes fingerprinting); satisfactory outcome of sexual misconduct information from prior school district employers; approval by the Northshore School Board. New hires must complete a probationary period following their hire date.
